The popularity of the field has led to some confusion about exactly what DH is and if it is really its own discipline. Some believe DH is simply humanities disciplines in various digital formats. This week you get do some reading and draw your own conclusions. Initial Post Instructions After reading the articles noted in this activity, address the following: Is digital humanities really a separate subdiscipline in the humanities, or is it really just combining computing with the other humanities disciplines? Explain and defend your answer. Secondary Post Instructions Respond to your classmates’ opinions about the nature of digital humanities. What points did they make that you did not think of?
